Refinishing your hardwood floors sounds straightforward until you start thinking through the logistics. Where does the furniture go? Who moves it? Do you rent a storage unit? How do you time the movers with the floor crew? What happens if something gets scratched?
For most homeowners, those questions are enough to push the project back another year. The floors stay dull, the finish keeps wearing down, and the project stays on the someday list.
That's exactly the problem our turnkey flooring service was built to solve. One call. We handle everything — the movers, the storage, the floor work, and the reset. You stay out of the way, and we hand your home back to you when it's done.
What "Turnkey" Actually Means in Practice
A lot of contractors use "turnkey" loosely. For us, it means you don't have to coordinate anything. We manage the entire project from the first consultation to the last piece of furniture being set back in place.
That includes arranging PODS or storage containers, scheduling professional movers, handling the timing so everything lines up correctly with our floor crews, and making sure your home is fully reset when the job is complete. You don't need to take time off work to supervise. You don't need to be home.
You just need to tell us what you want done — and we take it from there.
The Four Steps We Walk Every Project Through
Here's what a typical turnkey project looks like from your end:
- Consultation and planning. We look at your floors or space, talk through what you want to accomplish, and build a schedule around your life. Furniture, storage, timing — it all gets mapped out before anyone shows up with a truck.
- Space prep. We coordinate PODS delivery and schedule professional movers to clear your space. Your belongings are handled carefully and stored securely. You don't need to lift a thing.
- The floor work. For hardwood, that's expert sanding, staining, and multi-coat finishing. For epoxy, it's thorough surface prep and a professional-grade coating built to last. Either way, this is where the real transformation happens.
- Move-in and reset. Once the floors are fully cured, we coordinate the movers to return your belongings and arrange PODS pickup. We clean up and leave your home exactly as it should be — just with better floors.
Two Services, One Coordinated Experience
Our turnkey packages cover two types of projects, and they're often done at the same time.
Hardwood Floor Refinishing
If your hardwood floors are looking tired — worn finish, dull color, minor scratches — they almost certainly have a lot of life left in them. Refinishing is far more cost-effective than replacement, and the results can be dramatic. We handle sanding, custom stain matching, and multi-coat finishing for all wood species. The all-inclusive package runs between $3,200 and $4,500 for most homes in the 1,500 to 2,500 square foot range, covering everything from movers to storage to the floor work itself.
Basement and Garage Epoxy Flooring
Concrete floors don't have to look like concrete floors. A professional epoxy coating transforms a garage or basement into a clean, durable, low-maintenance space — and holds up against stains, chemicals, and heavy traffic in a way that paint simply doesn't. All-inclusive pricing for 250 to 500 square feet typically runs $2,500 to $5,000, depending on the scope. A lot of homeowners do both projects at once since the space is already being prepped and the movers are already there.
Why Not Just Hire a Floor Crew and Handle the Rest Yourself?
You can. And some people do. But coordinating a floor refinishing project on your own means booking movers, arranging storage, syncing delivery windows with the floor crew's schedule, and staying on top of it all when something inevitably shifts. One late delivery or scheduling conflict can push the whole project back by days.
When we manage it, there's one point of contact and one timeline. If something needs to adjust, we handle it — not you. Most clients tell us the coordination piece alone is worth it, independent of the floor work.
There's also the furniture handling. Professional movers treat your pieces differently than a floor crew moving things out of the way to get to work. With our package, your belongings are handled by people whose job is to protect them.
Transparent Pricing, No Surprises
We publish our pricing ranges because we think homeowners deserve to know roughly what they're looking at before they pick up the phone. The all-inclusive packages cover movers, storage, coordination, and the floor work — no separate line items showing up later for things you assumed were included.
Every job gets a detailed, itemized quote based on your home's actual size, the furniture involved, and the scope of the project. You know what you're paying before anything starts.
Who We Are
Polished Jemm is a family-owned flooring company based in Milford, PA. We've been refinishing and restoring floors since 2014, serving homeowners across Bergen County and northern New Jersey, New York City, Long Island, and the surrounding Tri-State area.
The turnkey service came out of a simple observation: the floor work was rarely the hard part for our clients. The logistics around it were. Building a package that handles all of it felt like the obvious move.
